2026 Cancellation & Refund Policy

We understand that plans can change! Because we keep our group sizes small to ensure a high-quality experience, our policy helps us manage staffing and supplies while remaining as flexible as possible for our families.

1. Summer Camp Sessions (June – July)

  • Cancellations on or before May 1, 2026: Receive a full refund minus a $100 non-refundable administrative fee per child, per week.

  • Cancellations between May 2 and May 24, 2026: Receive a 50% refund per child, per week.

  • Cancellations after June 1, 2026: No refunds will be issued.

2. School Holiday & Single-Day Camps

(Indigenous Peoples’ Day, Thanksgiving, Spring Break, etc.)

  • 30+ Days Notice: Full refund minus a $35 administrative fee per child.

  • 14–29 Days Notice: 50% refund.

  • Less than 14 Days Notice: No refunds are available for short-notice cancellations or no-shows.

3. Illness & Medical Exceptions

The health of our campers and staff is our priority.

  • If a child cannot attend due to a documented medical emergency or illness, a refund or credit may be considered with a doctor’s note provided within 48 hours of the missed session.

  • No refunds or "make-up days" are offered for general absences or personal schedule conflicts.

4. Weather & Environmental Safety (AQI)

As an outdoor camp, we monitor local conditions closely. In the event of natural disasters, extreme storms, or poor air quality (AQI of 100+), we may be forced to cancel for safety.

  • No cash refunds will be offered for weather-related closures.

  • A 50% rollover credit for a future camp session will be provided at the owner's discretion.

5. Transfers & Waitlists

  • Transfers: Subject to availability, you may transfer your registration to a different 2026 week for a $25 processing fee.

  • Waitlist: If a spot opens, we notify the first three families via email. The spot goes to the first family to complete registration.

  • Low Enrollment: If Wild Ones Art Camp must cancel a session due to low enrollment, you will receive your choice of a full refund or a transfer to another date.

Why these changes help your business:

  • The $100 May 1st Fee: This covers your credit card processing fees and the administrative time spent on re-filling that spot from the waitlist.

  • The AQI Clause: By setting the threshold at 100+ (Orange Tier), you align with California school standards, giving parents a predictable "safety bar."

  • Rollover Credit: This keeps the revenue in your business while still being fair to parents who lost a day of camp to smoke or rain.
